An overview of December 2022.

Who doesn’t want to have a safety spot, retreat, in essence, a place to call home, in both a traditional and broader sense? This holiday season is the last one, since 2008, that marks the end of a significant life cycle, collectively and on a personal level, for most of us. Astrologically speaking, this life cycle ends on March 2023 but this is the last holiday season of its era; it marks the end of the way we have lived, thought and functioned so far (since 2008), on this planet and gives us the opportunity to shed, whatever held us back for so long. For example, how many of us still shop, without the word ‘sustainability’ on our minds and vocabulary?

If I could sum up and make one suggestion for December 2022, that would be to adopt a more conscientious approach, in all your endeavors. Simply put, even if you don’t really care about the quality of others’ lives, I suggest you jump on the ‘humane train’ wagon. The dated mentality, of ‘greed is good’ or the scary one ‘if you want to achieve greatness, stop asking for permission’, has not served most of us well; just look at the last 15 to 2,000 years… You don’t want to miss this train, it is the last one. Hope you have defined and found your home for the holidays and always. Merry Christmas and Happy holidays to all.

How to best use the first 3 weeks of the month? They are colored with the abundant, curious, exuberant and exploratory Sagittarius energy! This is also a ‘no limits’ mentality, so go easy with spending or love declarations, on December 1-2 and during the Full Moon* on the 7th, that can build up to an out of control situation, by the 9th. With Neptune direct on the 4th, squaring Mercury and Venus, many love or money ‘bubbles’ will burst. Same applies to business dealings, particularly real estate. By all means, be generous with your heart and money, especially with those in need, nurture your higher self and promote your aspirations! Just always keep in mind, ‘if its too good to be true. it definitely is!‘ The mist clears on the 18th, 24-25th for agreements, deals and promoting out of the box ideas and on the 22nd, 28th, for love and money. Use this time frame to either make an important love decision, deal or put one together, as Mercury turns retrograde on the 30th.

The last week of December and of 2022, is colored by the simultaneous shift of gift bearing, expansive and benevolent Jupiter, in fiery Aries, on the 21st and the life giving Sun in ambitious Capricorn on the 22nd, forming a square between them. There is a New Moon** in Capricorn on the 23rd. Translation? You are granted the opportunity to get back control over your life, to bring ambitious plans and ideas to fruition and to explore untapped, in some cases totally unknown, creative potential. It is vital to not become too pushy or harsh, during your goals’ pursuit. Welcome good news or creative ideas on the 24-25, an auspicious love or money connection on the 28th. End of the month, Mercury turns retrograde, so back up everything, wrap up agreements or any commerce affairs. Feelings and sexuality run deep, so do obsessions, investment and financial skills are heightened, during the Pluto-Venus conjunction in Capricorn, on December 31st to January 1st! Translation? If you mind your temper and aggression, need to control everyone and everything, you will ‘bring it (or you) home’, by March 2023! Happy New Year to all!

Expansive and lucky Jupiter is back in assertive and impatient Aries, on December 21. Be assertive, time to get things moving but don’t be impatient!

There is a Full Moon* at 16 degrees 02′ Gemini, on the 7th.

It affects us all but mostly the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) and people with points to your chart here. You are directly affected by this Full Moon, if your birthday is May 31-June 10, September 1-11, December 2-12 and March 1-11.

Astro-highlight for December 2022: Task master, tenacious, hard work rewarding, albeit limiting, Saturn, is now direct. Translation? Have you been patient, worked hard, consistently and kept an open mind to changes?
