What did April inherit from, a contradictory March (global humanitarian crisis and a simultaneous anthropocentric awakening)? Creative, artistic, musical and high frequency practices, continue to be favored. Truth consistently pushes through to the surface, on a personal and collective level. Both, progress (technological) and scandals, continue to surface in the medical, navigation, oil, plastics and institutions industries. Some times, we do have to cut the arm, to save the body. However, extreme conditions, do not necessarily require extreme measures; on the contrary, this April, thoroughly understanding each situation you face, carefully drawing a plan and following it through, can secure a fruitful and stable outcome; or you risk cutting off the wrong arm. Whether you live on the northern or southern hemisphere, April is house, mind and soul cleaning time and as such, it will offer opportunities for a fresh start, as a true Aries month can. Translation? Don’t think you are infallible. A balance between your instinctual reaction and weighing your options, before ”attacking’, is key in order to, not just reach your finish line, but to enjoy long term benefits. How to maintain such balance? Prior to making any major decision or taking action, take a deep breath, count to three and think it through; seriously.

Traditionally, a New Moon like this, marks new beginnings, a desire to take control of your life and move forward. Here you can capitalize on your skills and grow enough faith in yourself, to stand on your own two feet. This new moon is caught in an atmosphere* that is both passionate and tensed, with a need to break free from an oppressive relationship, partnership or collective condition, in order to plant your new life’s seed (*Venus, Mars until April 5 and Saturn, are in freedom loving Aquarius, but Saturn squares the North Node-Karma, in fixed Taurus). Be assertive and move forward? Yes. Be aggressive about it? Please, don’t. Luckily, the ‘soil” is kept fertile (lucky Jupiter in conjunction with creative Neptune). Just remember, you still need to commit (Saturn) to and nurture a seed, in order for it to grow. This specific Moon will also be felt in a collective level, as it underlines the importance of taking sober decisions, that are not only self motivated. A negative outcome, due to egocentric behavior, will be the end result, during the following full moon on April 16.

On April 1st, don’t be fooled by the exuberant and passionate energy of the day! Enjoy the ‘go, go, go’ vibe, run with it but don’t let it run you! The month begins with a trail blazer, warrior, New Moon. It is Spring cleaning time, in every sense of the word: spiritually (Jupiter conjuncts Neptune in high vibrations Pisces), physically (the potent Aries energy is connected to the physical plane), and emotionally. We are driven by our primal ego and crave to reach our full potential. The catch? The other Aries’ trait: loosing control. Stay pragmatic, (particularly by or around April 6 -15), but not unfiltered and hard core. Pluto, the godfather of transformation, looms around the corner on the 2nd, as it pushes for the truth to surface and the need to heal old wounds. How can you move forward, or at all for that matter, if you are still tied up to your past? Promote yourself, plans or ideas but don’t force them, especially around the 5th (Mars conjuncts Saturn). If you enter in a power struggle with a person of authority, make sure you have a solid case. Love matters take a more romantic turn after the 6th. The waters of love can be welcoming but also nebulous, so take promises with a grain of salt.

Here is an extra astro-tip: the first two weeks of the month, there is an accumulation of planets (Sun, New Moon, Mercury) and asteroids (Chiron, Pallas, Eros) in Aries. April 15-30:

Venus, archetypal receptive, female energy, continues to waltz away with archetypal penetrating, male energy, Mars, after April 15, yet again. The great news here is, that the coupled up duo, shifts from freedom loving, cerebral and eccentric Aquarius, to romantic, ethereal and high frequency, Pisces. With both Jupiter and Neptune, in its natural environment, also in Pisces, creativity, imagination, romance, emotional connection and altruism, are heightened. Of course, so can addictive habits, being too trusting or gullible and a tendency to take the easy way out. Do continue to dream, dream big but don’t daydream. We have a harmony seeking Full Moon in Libra, on the 16th. Is it ‘frustrated’ enough, to say no more to power games?

It is a gracious, balance seeking, relationship oriented, fair, albeit indecisive moon. On the one end, emotions can quickly boil to the surface and loosing control, can cause damage to your plans or a relationship/partnership, (it squares deep, penetrating and power hungry Pluto). People that abuse their power position, are strongly challenged here. On the other end, if you manage to keep your temper in check , here you can set solid foundations, that can positively affect, for the long haul, your overall well being and balance, on both your personal and professional partnerships (the Moon is well aspected to Saturn). The Libra energy the Moon reflects upon us, has all the above mentioned positive traits. It is also a time where love for the arts, beauty and the beauty industry, are favored and can actually be cultivated to become prosperous endeavors, provided you are organized and consistent (Saturn). What can throw this Moon’s gifts and you, off-kilter? The challenging, Libra, characteristics, like indecisiveness, a scattered focus, procrastination and self indulgence. It is a pivotal point, not just for the fixed signs, as it occurs close to change seeking Uranus and the Nodes (Karma) and it is one out of 5 Eclipses that will occur on the Taurus/Scorpio Axis, from November 2021 to October 2023 (last time such Eclipses occurred, was back in 2013-2014). Explanation? Our primal needs evolve around survival and what secures it, like food, shelter, common sense and applied practical skills (the Taurus traits).
