April is the month that manifests the significant March shifts* on a personal and collective level. We will not experience this on a full scale but we will have an idea of what follows by June. Astrology can prove its true value as your astro-survival kit; it can be used either as a tool that helps you carve a prosperous future or a torch that can light up the dark corners of your path. What to look forward to in April? Action, albeit too much at times, preparations for new ventures, like a move, new or updated professional venue, personal growth and first indications of financial growth. On the flip side, the Solar Eclipse on the 20th and a Pluto-Sun square on the 21st, intensify tyranny, power games and extreme weather conditions. The selfish collective mentality of the last 250-500 years, is not interested in giving up its global strong hold, despite the destructiveness.

What to remember from February-March events during April (global famine, children killing children in the United States, the earthquake in Syria and Turkey, the derailment in Greece, the rape of the Amazon, to name a few)? “The manner in which we will continue to pursue our goals and its affects on our planet, is what will be scrutinized under this very powerful shift of Saturn in Pisces and Pluto in Aquarius*.“

How to maneuver through April 2023, aspects and dates.

Share an inspiring or innovative idea on the 1st but don’t force it. Unexpected events may test your patience the first week of the month, so mind your language on the 4th. Use the auspicious trine between Mars and Saturn to close a deal or secure a relationship by April 6, 7 or 14, depending on your chart. Partnerships made here have stronger foundations. If they break, they were standing on clay feet, so it’s just as well. The Full Moon on the 6th highlights the need to compromise but not sell out. An opportunity for expansion can appear on the 11-12th but its long term value will be questioned on the 15th. Same applies for a love connection. Enjoy the moment but take in with a grain of salt for now. Deal with paperwork, sign an agreement, plan a trip, check your car, all technological devices and equipment, wallet, keys before the 18th; yep it is that time of the year again, Mercury turns retrograde on April 22 until May 14.

Is it April 21st already? What a passionate or aggressive day, depending on how you react to stimuli. Power games and tyrannical conditions burst out globally, courtesy of a new moon and solar eclipse on the 20th in passionate and careless Aries. During the Eclipse we could experience intense natural disaster and power games as it is squared by Pluto. We want to enjoy meals around the table with loved ones, comfort, luxury, peace and get involved in real estate (will another bubble burst?) as a stellium in Taurus, a gathering of planets including Karma, colors the sky. We may need to postpone plans or desires until after the 25/26th or 29th. The Solar Eclipse on the 20th and a Pluto-Sun square on the 21st, intensify tyranny, power games and extreme weather conditions. What to do? Keep plugging along at a goal or project, stay organized, go over the fine print on everything and enjoy a new burst of energy on the 25/26th and a thrust forward on the 29th. Luckily love and money affairs get an injection of positivity end of the month, as Venus syncs with lucky Jupiter and they sextile on May 5th.

Structural SATURN entered altruistic Pisces on March 8, 2023 to May 24. 2025 and sextiles Uranus, during this journey. It is revolution time; revolution of the mind, the soul, growth and fair treatment, including fair trade. It can be erratic energy, so hopefully the human kind, will choose to work smart, over the next 20 years, not hard.

Transformative PLUTO entered humanitarian Aquarius on March 24, 2023, until 2044. Sustainability, truths that hurt, sexual identity issues and knee jerk reaction to injustice, are some of the subjects on the global table. Technology: friend or faux?

On the day Mercury sextiles Saturn and on the 7th Venus sextiles Neptune.

It affects us all but mostly the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) and people with points to your chart here. You are directly affected by this Full Moon, if your birthday is April 1-11, July 1-11, October 2-12 and January 1-11.

In order to harvest the positive influence from such a moon, you need to find and keep the balance, between your loving nature and needs against your go getter nature and needs, ‘me’ vs ‘us’, superficiality vs dominance and being aggressive vs being indecisive. Understanding the Aries-Libra polarity is necessary in order to utilize the aspects during this Moon. Libra is diplomatic, loves beauty and harmony, thrives in pairings and is surprisingly impulsive and aggressive when provoked. It can rely on its charm in order to avoid making an effort. Aries, its polar opposite, is adventurous, impulsive, confident, full of energy and can be rather intense when it’s short on achievements or a target is not met.

Transformative Pluto squares the Sun and the North Node (Karma) sextiles Saturn.

It affects us all, but mostly the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) but also the first degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) due to degrees in proximity. You are directly affected by this New Moon, if your birthday is April 14-24, July 16-26, October 16-26 and January 14-24 .

A new life journey has begun, as you thrust forward, pursuing your dreams and turning them into your new reality. This is the second new moon in a row (first was on March 21st) in self propelled power house Aries. Do you use your daily energy or do you get used by it? Transformative Pluto is also present to test us by demanding reform in this area in a personal and collective level. Collectively because misuse of energy and power tremendously affects the whole planet. Karma is near by and with a Saturn sextile, proper use of power will be rewarded. This is a significant new beginning, as it occurs on the first zodiac sign, on its last degree, at 29 and 50 min. The first New Moon also in Aries, occurred on March 21st on its first degree, at 0 and 50 min. It is safe to say that projects and aspirations that you have been assertively pursuing from March 21 to April 20th, begin to bear fruit after April 26 and into May. Take full advantage of the opportunities! Aries rules the head, so you can become a leader in your field, a ground breaker or a risk taker. Difficult as it may be to brake your stride, knowing when to shift into the right gear, is the key to your success.
