Μου φαίνεται απίστευτο ότι πέρασε σχεδόν ένας χρόνος, απο τότε που έγραψα το παρακάτω άρθρο και 4 χρόνια απο τον φόνο του Πάολο Παολίνο Γκουατζατζάρα (Paulo Paulino Guajajara): και αν αυτό, το διαφορετικό για εμάς, επίθετο, σου φαίνεται γνωστό, τότε μάλλον ακολουθείς στο Ινσταγκραμ τα στόρυ μου, για την φοβερή και τρομερή Αμαζόνα (κυριολεκτικά!) και εκλεγμένη πλέον, πολιτική μορφή της Βραζιλίας, την Σόνια Γκουατζατζάρα (Sonja Guajajara)! Ακολουθεί λοιπόν το πρωτότυπο post και ελπίζω, μέσα απο αυτό, να τιμήσουμε τις θυσίες τόσων ντόπιων του Αμαζονίου, που δυστυχώς δολοφονούνται μέσα στα σπίτια τους και αυτήν την στιγμή. Είναι επίσης και αχτίδα φωτός, καθώς ο άνισος αγώνας την Sonja Guajajara, δεν είναι πλέον αόρατος, ενώ ο αδίστακτος Πρόεδρος της Βραζιλίας, έχασε πριν λίγες μέρες τις εκλογές και η Ευρωπαική Ενωση ψήφισε ενάντια στην εισαγωγή λίστας προιόντων απο τον Αμαζόνιο, ώστε να προστατευτούν όχι μόνο οι ντόποι και το δάσος, αλλά όλος ο πλανήτης, απο τις αυτοκτονικές του τάσεις. Ελπίζω μία μέρα, όχι τόσο μακριά, να μην χρειάζονται τέτοια άρθρα.

I cant believe it has been almost a year since I wrote the following post and 4 years since the murder of Paulo Paulino Guajajara; and if this unusual, to us, last name seems familiar, it actually is to many of you, who follow my Instagram stories, on fierce woman warrior and now elected member, Sonja Guajajara! Here is the original post and through it Iwish to commemorate the sacrifices of so many indigenous people of the Amazon, who are unfortunatly still murdered in their homes, as we speak. It is also a glimpse of hope, as Sonja Guajajara’s fight is no longer unnoticed, the old, ruthless President of Brazil, just lost the elections and the European Parliament, recently voted against importing specific goods from the Amazon, in order to protect the locals and the world, from this suicidal distraction. I hope that soon it will not be necessary, to post such articles.

Ο Οκτώβριος του 2022 τελειώνει σήμερα, στις 31. Η τελευταία μέρα του μήνα φέρνει και την νεόφερτη γιορτή, την ”All Hollows Eve”’ (η Παραμονή όσων έχουν παρέλθει), γνωστή και ως Χαλοουίν (Halloween). Αυτή η γιορτή είναι αρχαία Κελτική κληρονομιά, απο το φεστιβάλ ‘Shamhain’ (Σαμχέιν), όπου οι άνρθωποι, ντυμένοι με δέρματα και κεφάλια ζώων, άναβαν φωτιές, για να φέρουν το φως στο σκοτάδι του χειμώνα στο σημερινό Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και ειδικά στην σημερινή Σκωτία. Ηθελαν επίσης, με αυτό τον τρόπο, να κρατήσουν μακριά τα σκοτεινά πνεύματα ή φαντάσματα, των νεκρών, που επέστρεφαν στην γη, εκείνη την ημέρα. Το Κελτικό αυτό έθιμο

All Saints Day and Halloween; death and rebirth. What is the connection??
October 2022 comes to an end today, on the 31st. The last day of the month delivers All Hollows Eve, known as Halloween. This celebration is an inheritance from the ancient Celtic festival of Shamhain, when people dressed in animal heads and skins and lit bonfires to bring light into the darkness of the winter ahead and to keep at bay the dark spirits or ghosts, of the dead returning to earth that day. The Celtic tradition was incorporated by the Romans into their celebration of Feralia, the day of the dead and Pomona, goddess of fruit and trees.
