KanYu and its offspring Feng Shui
Feng Shui is defined in western dictionaries as “a system of laws considered to govern spatial arrangement and orientation in relation to the flow of energy and whose favorable and unfavorable effects are taken into account when sitting and designing a building”.
What is KanYu and how is it related to Feng Shui?
Respectively, the word geomancy (the art of arranging buildings auspiciously), is the modern accepted translation of KanYu, which can also translate to ‘enduring world’ and while Feng Shui translates to ‘air’ and ‘water’, our mind can not help but think, that life can not endure in this world, without air and water, without balance. KanYu is this system of laws and methods, applied in the microenviroment within the macroenviroment, in which we want to build structures, that keep us and our families safe. Buildings, in which our businesses can thrive, in order to ensure our prosperity and longevity.
KanYu and its offspring Feng Shui are the means to building such balanced structures, with respect to both, the human beings occupying them and the surrounding environment.
