An overview of January 2023.

Use the first three weeks of the month to regroup, revamp your business and personal profile, get acclimated with the latest technologies (this means, know how to use it and don’t allow private enterprises to use you, through media). Become aware of your rights as a consumer and a citizen of the world. Get ready for a boost in your endeavors or a relationship upgrade, after the 22nd.

On January 1st, Venus conjuncts Pluto and emotions run deep, so it may be best to communicate your needs on the 2nd, as Mercury sextiles Neptune. If possible, avoid making major decisions before, or on, the 19th, (Mercury turns direct again) and Pluto conjuncts the Sun, (Mars is direct since the 13th): depending on your circumstances, you may feel exhausted, full of good energy or too intense. On the 3rd, Venus enters freedom loving Aquarius, until the 26th. We need more room to move, friendships and social networks are tested: those with solid foundations, will pass the test. On the 4th, love and money get a boost, as Venus sextiles Jupiter.

On the 6th, innovative ideas offer solutions for new business modules, especially in sustainable energy and consumerism. Magnetic and popular individuals take center stage, but stay cautious, particularly with political leaders or large conglomerates’ CEOs. Take care of your nervous system. Be enthusiastic not erratic. The Full Moon in Cancer, nurtures, enhances intuition, brings unexpected and pleasant changes, as it is beautifully sextiled by Uranus. However, it is opposed by Mercury retrograde, so keep impulses, emotions and wording, in check.

On the 7-8th, the Sun conjuncts Mercury, slow down your mental activity and succeed in your endeavors but don’t trump over others. On the 10th, Venus trines Mars, and provided the foundations of your relationship are stable, great beginnings and new precedents can be set. You have earned the right to form the relationship that fits your needs. Mars, turns direct on the 13th, great news for moving forward, physical recovery or mending fences. On the the 14th, the Sun sextiles Neptune, so go ahead and dream, tap into your creative side but don’t daydream. Also, you may want to avoid closing a deal, business or personal, until after the 16th, as a sudden turn of events, can give you more insight on the situation, when Venus squares Uranus, 14/15.

On the 19th, Mercury turns direct and the Sun conjuncts Pluto. Investigate but don’t be paranoid. On the 21st the Sun enters Aquarius. On the 22/23 Venus conjuncts Saturn. don’t be too strict with your emotions or others’. On the 25/26th the Sun trines Jupiter, it is time to put innovative ideas, plans and mentalities, in motion. It is also a day where some of us individually, others collectively, will get a taste of what happens when the whole, forces its views on individual freedoms. This ‘battle’, of individuality vs the communal, will be the sign of the times, until 2043, approximately.

On the 27th, Venus enters Pisces and our level of creativity, emotion and self-deception is increased. It is definitely a loving and sweet placement for the planet of beauty, art, love and money but with Neptune, the ruler of Pisces, also in the same sign, we must be alert to deception, addictions or illusive situations. Mars trines the Sun on the 29th, it is a good time to start a new physical activity: you will be in a position to better channel your physical and mental energy, through February and into March.

On the 25th, love and money can produce a positive outcome but this day, is also like a rehearsal of the coming 20 years, individuality (Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune in Aries) vs the communal (Pluto in Aquarius).

Expansive and lucky Jupiter is back in assertive and impatient Aries, until May 16. Be proactive, it is time to get things moving but don’t be impatient!

There is a Full Moon* at 16 degrees 22′ Cancer, on the 6/7 th.

It affects us all but mostly the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) and people with points to your chart here. You are directly affected by this Full Moon, if your birthday is March 31- April 11, July 1-11, October 1-11, January 2-12.

In order to harvest the positive influence from such a moon, you need to find and keep the balance, between your attachment to family ties that bind and the distance that work can create. There is a New Moon** at 1 degree 33′ Aquarius, on the 21st.

It affects us all, but mostly the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) but also the last degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) due to degrees in proximity.

You may notice occasionally, astrological dates can seem to be one (1) day off, (for example a planet enters a sign on the 12/13). This occurs because calculations are based on Tropical Midnight Ephemeris, Time Zone EDT (04 west). Add or subtract hours, based on your Time Zone.
