Please remember throughout MAY that Pluto, (power games) is retrograde and Saturn, in retrograde motion after the 24th, still squares Uranus and the status quo continues to push us back, as it is emotionally disconnected from the injustices it creates and wants to maintain its stronghold, on a global scale.

The human drive to achieve and accomplish goals, is a formidable force indeed. Combine this ability with emotional connection; prosperity within a thriving civilization, becomes a realistic outcome. If I can summarize May, I would say that this is truly a joyous and hopeful month, a true offspring of Aphrodite (Venus), goddess of art, beauty, love and money. An upgrade in knowledge, research, the law, is favored, as are art events that feed our mind and soul. Psychology, life coaching, support groups, are strengthened, as their value in being tools necessary to find or maintain our inner balance, has become clear. Foods, beauty and all products, including building and technology materials, are ‘screaming’ for the need to become environmentally respectful. The web we can be caught in during May? Deceit and hyperbole.

The first three weeks of the month we feel the need to enjoy love; whether this refers to emotional love, flirting, more so after May 9th, or universal love; either way, love is in the air! The ground is fertile even for financial growth. The secret in succeeding here is to follow the times and here I wish to be perfectly clear; ‘the times’ refers to technology (Uranus conjuncts the Sun May 1-2) and its purpose, to make our life easy and as such, to be in our service, not for us to serve it. Needless to say this applies to all manners of running our western world, which seems to deteriorate, as it is gradually becoming more emotionally handicapped.

Week one: Financial growth (connected to the right to health and quality of life for all), mental and emotional connection, are what we are thirsty for May 1-3 (Venus well aspected to Neptune and in sextile May 3rd). If your job is up in the air or you are home bound and wanted to write that book, there is no better time than the present. Inspiration hides in the most unlikely places and times in our life, so do not hesitate to play hide and seek with yours. Venus is well aspected to Pluto until May 8th, in trine on May 6th, laying a prosperous ground for us to pursue our love – money goals; Mercury is also well aspected to Pluto(Rx-retrograde) May 1-3, in trine on May 2nd, helping us to communicate the issues related to love and money more clearly. Venus enters Gemini on May 9; we have a more light hearted and humorous approach to life, which during those times, may be just what we need. What to look out for specifically on May 3rd, despite the surrounding positive energy, is a disruptive, limiting or harsh tendency in our contacts with others, especially with people in power and in control of our money flow (Mercury squares Jupiter, the Sun squares the Moon and of course the Uranus-Saturn square). Do hold your ground but do not loose control and this ‘off’ day can dissipate.

Week two: Hermes (Mercury), messenger to the Gods and the grand communicator, entered on May 4th its offspring, curious, talkative and lighthearted, Gemini. This is a great time for education, ethical commerce, goods promotion, contracts/agreements, settling financial pending issues, communicating our needs or solidifying plans (well aspected to Saturn, in trine May 13). There is speed in our thought process or the way we do things and this will serve us well to set the wheels in motion, as it turns retrograde later on May 30th. There is a beautiful, enlightened New Moon in 21 degrees 18′ Taurus on May 11, affecting mostly the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) or people with points to your chart here. This Moon is well aspected to dreamy and creative Neptune and alchemist, power player Pluto (retrograde). In essence, here we can make a brand spanking new start in love, money on both a personal level and a collective one. Our guide, not just for May but the rest of the year, will be to cherish the small, simple things in life and what truly matters; if you have not figured out what this is during the last year, there is no better time than the present.

Week three: Mars in sensitive and emotional Cancer is well aspected with innovative Uranus during May, in sextile May 12-13: the ‘quiet power’ wins with its steady, soft yet penetrating force. An out-of-the-box-idea can become prosperous, if cultivated in a stable manner. The Sun sextiles Neptune on the 13th; plant a seed now and watch it grow into a strong tree. What do Uranus, Mars and Neptune produce here? Innovation in technology that can be exalted through altruism. The planet of expansion, the higher mind, law, or otherwise know as the ‘Santa Claus’ of the galaxy, Jupiter, enters creative, altruistic and dreamy Pisces on May 14. Elevation of hope, the soul, the spirit and mind/knowledge from an altruistic prism, is strengthened here. Jupiter stays in Pisces from May 14 to July 28 (turns retrograde June 21). You can make your dreams come true or plant healthy seeds for your future. We can reshape a balanced world too. Utopia? We have shaped it out of balance. We can reverse that action. The Sun is well aspected to Pluto May 16-18 and in trine on the 17th. We can reverse the action. On a personal level, our psychological and mental stamina is strengthened and the pursuit of our dreams regarding love, partnerships and money is feasible, with stronger foundations (Venus well aspected to Saturn May 18-22, in trine on the 20th). Do take care on May 20th, as the Sun enters fun loving Gemini, but on the day, too much of anything can be too much, with the Sun-Jupiter square. Luckily with the Venus-Saturn trine, sobriety in love, partnership or money matters, can deliver most auspicious results.

Week four: Taking the easy way out, avoiding responsibility and reality, or succumbing to any form of escapism, including substances, can become harmful to our endeavors, our well being and innocent parties. This is enhanced on May 22-23, as Mercury squares Neptune. Mercury is also connected to health and Neptune to escapism, the medical and nautical field. Needless to say, psychotropics now can be even more dangerous. If a proposal of any kind sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you are in the Maritime trade, in sea and on shore, strictly adhere to all safety regulations. Scandals in the medical, maritime or oil/plastics industry are eminent. Sober Saturn, the teacher and boundaries enforcer, turns retrograde May 24. Shaky foundations collapse. This can be good, if you were about to begin a project/endeavor that turns out to be less stable than you thought. Relationships and business partnerships are also under the above mentioned influences around the 27th, as Venus squares Neptune. If the person or persons in your life did not have your best interest at heart, believe me, this is a favorable outcome.

Wrapping up the month: There is a Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in 5 degrees 28′ Sagittarius on May 26. I like to call it the mirage moon; not all is as it seems. Optimism is favored, hyperbole is not! Note here that Karma is only 5 degrees apart from this Full Moon and is therefore connected to it. Simply put, the higher mind and the manner in which we communicate our needs and desires, will have a significant impact in our relationships, plugging or unplugging them into our Karma. Be open minded and allow others to express themselves freely; we can agree to disagree and this is OK. Enforcing our views and disrespecting freedom of speech, will organically backfire, I guarantee you this, in the next two years, especially if you are involved in politics and are abusing your power to suppress such freedoms. This Full Moon and Eclipse squares Neptune and opposes Mercury and Venus. This can only go two ways: we can quench our thirst for knowledge, exchange ideas and goods, travel and connect to cultures different than our own, in the name of prosperity and fair trade. We could of course, continue to enforce our way of life, ideas and figure more ways out to use and abuse each other. At the end of the day, if we do not give a damn about others, we must see by now how interconnected we all are, and how stupid it is to still believe than we can succeed and be prosperous alone. If it was fun to be rich alone, then why are the rich (world’s 2%) so profoundly unhappy? Why are the rest of us trying so desperately to reach them? This also applies to the superficial way we view and define the value of love, beauty and money, as Venus squares Neptune. Do not be deceived by a sweet talker from your past or present. Mars in Cancer begins to oppose Pluto (direct opposition June 5-6) and forces us to deal with such truths connected to old wounds; here each one of us chooses a path. The one of fair play or the one of the unfair, destructive game. If you are out there during this Full Moon struggling to make ends meat, work and build on what you have, do not respond to rich-quick scams and know that even a magnificent ancient statue, was once just a piece of marble. Miracles happen but they take time. Stay optimistic but do not be disillusioned by tricksters, as Mercury turns retrograde May 30th. Last but not least, on May 30-31, the life giving Sun trines the nurturing Moon; accountability and forgiveness soften the blow and we can land on a cushion of safety and love.
