This coming August, I cannot help but adhere to what becomes painfully obvious to me, as more and more of us are about to embark, on much needed indeed, summer holidays. To what degree are we willing to sacrifice, on the altar of our selfish needs, the well being of all creatures that inhabit this planet, including the planet itself? I find the following quote, from July 2020 monthly tips, still ethically and astrologically appropriate. “…The need for fair treatment to all living entities and of course our planet, is painfully clear. Astrologically speaking, I will simplify the meaning of Saturn in Aquarius from March 21 to July 1st and then December 2020 to March 2023. On July 1st to December 17, Saturn briefly returns to Capricorn, one last time. This can be considered a time frame to apply those hard lessons we have learned, to better the quality of life, for everyone on the planet. The Titanic is sinking. Unless balance is restored, there will be no shore left to swim to.” Respect the host countries, our vacation spots, by staying informed. Succumbing to fear and propaganda infused information however, will just bring more imbalance in our lives, a condition that becomes apparent, after September 10, 2020. Pluto and Uranus are not on holidays. Pluto feeds a power hungry status quo and Uranus fuels our lives with related disruptions. This pent up energy, that has augmented due to the Covid-19 situation, must be directed at those truly responsible for the outcome so far. If you want to be a rebel, be with due cause. Unleashing our frustration during our holidays, on our host countries, will not do. Enjoy but do not be a kill-joy. Respect others, respect yourself.

• Jupiter: the largest planet of our system radiates double the light it receives from the sun, associated with Sagittarius, sign of expansion and illumination- Zeus, in ancient Greece the god of gods.
• Saturn: next the ringed majestic planet of order, associated with Capricorn, sign of duty and dependability-in ancient Greece the god Pan, protector of woodlands and shepherds.
• Uranus: the gas giant, associated with Aquarius, the sign of innovation- Aquarius or beautiful Ganymede, the son of Trojan king Tros, was taken to Mount Olympus by Zeus to act as cup-carrier to the gods.
• Neptune: a striking blue giant, associated with Pisces, the sign of healing and illusion- in ancient Greece representing the fish into which Aphrodite and her son Eros transformed
• Pluto: the yellow dwarf planet or huge asteroid, associated with Scorpio, the intense truth-seeker- he was called on earth by Goddess Artemis to kill Orion, who wanted to destroy all animals.

You may notice occasionally, astrological dates can seem to be one (1) day off, (for example a planet enters a sign on the 12/13). This occurs because calculations are based on Tropical Midnight Ephemeris, Time Zone EDT (04 west). Add or subtract hours, based on your Time Zone.

Overview for August. Call the fire brigade! The fire element runs ramped in August. Even our planet responds to this eruptive energy with earthquakes and volcanic activity. We should pay attention. It is a thin crust of earth we reside upon. It is easy to crack and by abusing it, we add fuel to the fire. On a personal level, we need to keep our cool hats on, individually and collectively. Dispense this energy in productive ways only, please! Setting our speech, behavior or the planet on fire, will simply not do. Pluto seems to be the most diligent astro player, not just during August 2020, but truly, since 2008. The dwarf planet/asteroid delivers most gigantic long term effects, whether positive or not, depending of course on how it is aspected. In August and under the aftermath of the Jupiter and Pluto 2nd direct conjunction for 2020 both in Rx-retrograde motion, loosing control of our actions, emotions and priorities, is still probable the first fortnight of August! Pluto possesses the penetrating skills to put salt on the wound and Jupiter, to bring theses wounds to the surface. In August, Uranus turns Rx-retrograde on the 15th, and adds more erratic behavior to the mix.
