Month of December

This December, do you feel like a pancake? You know, flat on your face and waiting for someone to flip you over? Understandable. Suggestion? Slowly flip yourself over. Around the 15th, when Mars is well aspected with Mercury, we can be mobile once again, both physically and mentally. This holiday season we may not be in a position, especially in the Northern hemisphere, to do as we would like or as we are used to. Consider this; if in your country you are still stuck at home, stop buying everything on the net for yourself! Consider all the people, animals and organizations, out there at this moment fighting to survive, fighting the good fight. It really is up to you to make this Season count. Plus, you will get bonus Universe points, as you will be in sync with the major planetary humanitarian shift of Jupiter and Saturn.

The path from October to December; Despite the end of retrogrades and hard planetary aspects, our mental and emotional compass is still off until December 17, 2020 and for some until January 6, 2021. As stated in November 2020, “Our mental and physical compass is understandably off. Is our moral one as well?“

The long awaited by most, end of the Year 2020, is upon us! A few days before its expiration, two out of three major planets, Jupiter (expansion- travel) and Saturn (limits-foundations) move into their compatible, freedom loving Aquarius. Pluto (transformation) is left alone in Capricorn, after a tumultuous three year period. We can not let our guard down yet, but between March 6 -May 14, 2021, a great part of what has been ‘de-fragmented’ during 2017-2020, will be restored. Simply put? Despite the tsunami like conditions we humans create against each other, we will have the opportunity to rebuild our lives and future.

This holiday season most of us need some T.L.C., (tender loving care) and we should give this gift to ourselves, guilt free; and because giving is often more rewarding than receiving, sync yourself with the surrounding humanitarian Aquarius energy. There are numerous ways to bring Joy to the world; there are animals in need, organizations, children or families that lost everything, including their home and homelands.

DECEMBER 2020

Overview.

We all need this December! There is abundant, luminous, Sagittarius energy, enough to put a smile on our face and hope back in our psyche. Are we out of the woods? Not yet. Can we bask in the Sun rays, even for a little while? Absolutely. Sagittarius is the zodiac sign connected to generosity, abundance, justice, mental and physical travel and exploration. When this energy is prominent, we are interested in the training and development of the higher mind and a higher calling. Our horizon widens, waiting for us to discover and unveil new truths and ideas. We are quick on our feet and yearn for adventure. As with everything, on the flip side, some Sagittarius characteristics we can do without this December and Holiday Season are, abruptness, a scattered mind and exaggeration. Do not make a mountain out of a molehill, if you are still limited in movement the first December fortnight. Jupiter, the ‘Santa Claus’ of our planetary system and ruler of Sagittarius, is a protagonist this month. It leaves an overall ‘stiff’, one year placement in Capricorn and enters its altruistic, innovative, technologically savvy, adventure and freedom loving comrade, Aquarius, on December 20, 2020 until December 30, 2021, (except a quick visit to Pisces from May 13 to July 29 and then back to Aquarius!). So this Christmas, we can all go through the ‘Sagittarius goodies’ gift box and pick a gift that suits our needs. We can benefit from the Sagittarius abundance; those that have, are welcomed to share we those that have not. Everybody comes out a winner and in stride with the humanitarian shift of both Saturn on December 17/18th and Jupiter on the 20th. Saturn, in altruistic Aquarius will make sure, until March 6, 2023, that what goes around, personally and collectively, comes around. What to look out for this Holiday Season? Mars squares Pluto December 21-26 (Luckily other aspects soften the blow). Translation; Count your blessings! Do not be self serving, rigid or unmovable! Or a brat about the gift you did not get. Please drive safe or do not drive at all! If you can not be kind, bite your tongue! You get the idea..

Aspects and dates.

What better way to begin the month, as the Moon conjuncts the North Node in curious and communicative Gemini and Mercury sextiles Saturn, on December 1st. The Moon connects us to our emotions in both the conscious and subconscious mind. This makes for a highly intuitive and creative day. If you have too much on your plate (Saturn), like most people do currently, put these ideas on paper or store them in an independent hard drive. You will go back to your project soon (Mercury). May I remind you that November ended with, and I quote; “a Full Moon-Lunar Eclipse in 8 degrees Gemini on the 30th. It affects mostly the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) or people with points to your chart here. A need for better communication on both a personal and collective level is emphasized. The higher mind is called forth to pinpoint the areas of our daily existence that need immediate improvement, like old belief systems that no longer serve us or our planet*. Transportation and its effects in our lives, is also part of the Gemini zone, so local and global related issues will come to light. Last but not least, Neptune turns direct November 29, creativity will be favored, compassion reclaims its room in our hearts and deception comes to light.” On the very next day, December 2nd, Mercury, planet of communication and movement, can help us excel academically, spiritually and in research, as it happily enters Sagittarius. It is well aspected with Mars in Aries until the 20th; they do form a beautiful trine on December 15. This is an excellent time to put projects together, share ideas or set some wheels in motion. Fire signs (Aries, Leos and Sagittarius) or people with points to your chart here, can highly benefit from this transit. Let the Christmas or Holiday spirit move you but keep the speed in check! There is something to be said about being overzealous or an overachiever. On December 6, Mercury squares dreamy Neptune. If your plan falls through, do not fret. Instead, use its creative force to participate in a collective project. Also on the 6th, Venus, intense in Scorpio but committed, forms a beautiful trine with Neptune. It is a great time to forgive. Higher love or a soulful connection, is on the astro cards! Make the most of it in your personal relationships, friendships or in any area of your life that feeds your soul. Give what you can. Any gesture, big or small, will do. Give and you shall receive. If you are or have been recently under any form of lock down, you may be mobile after these two aspects and date, December 6, or after December 11 or 15 (depending on your chart), but do not rush and try to take things in stride. Mars is direct (productive motion) until January6, but it still is in combustible and aggressive Aries.

Mars in fiery Aries is also well aspected with the Sun in jovial Sagittarius until December 20th. This abundant fire energy does what fire does best; it feeds our mind, soul or literally it feeds our bodies not just with food, but with the energy necessary to enjoy the good times and cope with the challenges. On December 11, Mars forms a magnificent trine with life giving Sun. Use this energy as fuel to boost your plans, expand your ideas or mind through technology, enforce your immune system, but do stay alert to its power. Think of it as nuclear energy; it burns clean and can power an entire planet. Use it carelessly and it can annihilate an entire planet. There is a New Moon and Solar Eclipse at 23 degrees and 8′ in Sagittarius on December 14. It mostly affects Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) or people with points to your chart here. What lies past our senses? It is a good time to elevate the mind, keep the channels of communication open and build good Karma, (this New Moon is well aspected with Mercury and the South Node). Combine the above positive energy with the warmth and life force brought forth by the fire elements, (it trines Mars) but do not take the easy way out or gossip, (it squares Neptune). Venus adds to this energizing mix, as it enters Sagittarius on the 16th! We are generous, restless and a tad bit over the top! On December 21st Mercury and on the 22nd the Sun, both enter practical, ambitious and at times harsh Capricorn. This grounding energy hides a surprising anthropocentric element (Martin L. King is a Capricorn that honors not only the human race but this zodiac sign as well). Opt for the latter and significantly soften the aggressive Mars-Pluto square from the 21st to the 26th.

Merry Christmas! On December 25, Uranus is well aspected with the Moon, the Sun and trines Mercury. This Christmas, more than any other, we may not be where or with whom, we wish to be. If you are safe, cared for -by yourself or others, count your blessings.

On the 26th, the Moon trines Pluto and helps soften the Martian energy from the Mars-Pluto square. If you are a Cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) or have points to your chart here, remember, words can break bones. Your humor, on the other hand, can carry you a long way. On the 28th, the Sun trines Uranus. A happy announcement with stabilizing effects can be made or the beginning of a revolution can occur, mental or physical. With unpredictable Uranus, it remains to be seen. On the 30th, Venus (conjuncts the South Node) squares Neptune and there is a Full Moon in 8 degrees 53 minutes Cancer. It mostly affects the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) or people with points to your chart here. Both astrological events reflect, in a more emotional rather than intellectual (Full Moon of November 30th*) manner, the need to leave behind old doctrines that no longer serve what is fair on a personal level and the common good. The Venus-Neptune square also alerts us to deception in love and money matters. Be honest and fair with such issues, as here you shape your Karma. The Moon opposes Pluto on the 31st, New Year’s Eve. Extreme display of emotions or lack thereof, can only bruise your day, perhaps even your year. Being emotionally connected is as vital as keeping emotions in check.

Remember; On August 13 Mars formed its first explosive square with Pluto. On October 8-9-10 Mars formed its second, during 2020, square to Pluto and on December 21-26, they form their third and last square for 2020! Look into events (pending and new) that took shape at the time, the manner in which you handled them, or not, and re-address them effectively during December. Here you are my Dear Leo, the end of a year you can not wait to leave behind! The last day of November and December 1st, coincide for you; “Last week of the month Mercury forms positive aspects with Neptune, Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn on the 30th and December 1st and there is a Full Moon-Lunar Eclipse in 8 degrees Gemini on the 30th. What is in it for you? Dear Pisces, what an end of the year you are having, either being or feeling, trapped in a location or situation you can do without. You have been working towards financial security and stability and recent delays have exhausted you. Many Pisces work in the medical field, I believe no words are necessary here! Insecurities caused by such conditions were brought to the surface during the Full Moon-Lunar Eclipse on November 30th that squared your Sun (birthday February 23 – March 3). You have worked hard for too long and are understandably frustrated; here lies a Piscean tendency to give up or to daydream, when under pressure. It is fine to feel like this. It is not fine to live like this. On December 1st, the Moon is still as potent as your feelings but Mercury sextiles your Sun and is positively aspected to Saturn. This fortifies your mental strength and you can stay grounded enough to deal with frustrating conditions. On the day, the Moon squares your Sun, (still Full from November 30th) and conjuncts the North Node -evolution of Karma- in curious and communicative Gemini. Your unique sense of humor and ability to smooth things over make you loved. Being spiteful and taking the easy wait out can hinder your Karmic evolution. The month of December is blessed with expansive and adventurous Sagittarius energy. This is your fellow mutable (of flexible mind) sign, but it does square your Sun. In essence, a square is an astrological aspect of tension but it also offers a boost. In order to make the most of this energy allow your higher mind to pinpoint the areas of your daily existence that need immediate improvement, like old belief systems or addictive behavior that no longer serve you. On December 2nd Mercury, planet of communication and movement, can help you excel academically, spiritually and in medical research, as it happily enters Sagittarius. On the 30th, Venus (conjunct to the South Node-evolution of Karma) squares Neptune. Both in love and money, not all that shines is gold.
