October is about being fair and the balanced use of power! Pluto is the big protagonist and the Scorpio stinger is out to play. Traditionally, this is a Libra month, meaning we seek an overall life equilibrium, pursue love and partnership matters.

Pluto’s penetrating powers are on full throttle. This planet is the truth seeker. Like a surgeon, Pluto is dedicated and determined to dig as deep as it is necessary, find the foreign body and remove it. A cathartic process, with positive end results, when exercised in stride. There is great power in a surgeon’s hands during an operation and, when used in balance, it saves lives. When it is abused, the results are catastrophic. So there you have it, October is about balance of power.

Luckily planetary transits are Not the cause of events, rather the reflection of our choices followed by consequent end results. This is good news, because it is up to us to undo our negative actions and reinforce the positive ones. October holds a lot of behind-the-curtain activity. • Sun: center of our galaxy, associated with Leo, sign of creative force-Helios in ancient Greece, the god of light.
• Mercury: nearest to the sun and fastest moving, associated with Gemini and Virgo, signs of communication-Hermes in ancient Greece, messenger for the gods.
• Venus: next in line and second brightest star on our sky, associated with Taurus and Libra, signs of strength and beauty-Aphrodite in ancient Greece, goddess of love.
• Earth: following suit, the planet of life growth, associated only by element (earth) with Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn- Gaia in ancient Greece, the primal mother earth goddess.
• Moon: the earth’s only natural satellite, associated with the sign of Cancer, sign of nurture- Artemis goddess of hunting and a healer of women.
• Mars: the red planet, associated with Aries, sign of assertion and drive –Aris in ancient Greece, god of war.
• Jupiter: the largest planet of our system radiates double the light it receives from the sun, associated with Sagittarius, sign of expansion and illumination- Zeus, in ancient Greece the god of gods.
• Saturn: next the ringed majestic planet of order, associated with Capricorn, sign of duty and dependability-in ancient Greece the god Pan, protector of woodlands and shepherds.
• Uranus: the gas giant, associated with Aquarius, the sign of innovation- Aquarius or beautiful Ganymede, the son of Trojan king Tros, was taken to Mount Olympus by Zeus to act as cup-carrier to the gods.
• Neptune: a striking blue giant, associated with Pisces, the sign of healing and illusion- in ancient Greece representing the fish into which Aphrodite and her son Eros transformed
• Pluto: the yellow dwarf planet or huge asteroid, associated with Scorpio, the intense truth-seeker- he was called on earth by Goddess Artemis to kill Orion who wanted to destroy all animals.

Before you read on the planetary aspects of October, please bear in mind throughout the month, that Jupiter* sesquiquadrates Uranus*. A time for strictly calculated risks. During 2019 Jupiter* sesquiquadrates Uranus* thrice, a) On January 9 at 13 degrees Sagittarius, b) On June 6 at 19 degrees Sagittarius and finally, c) On October 14 at 20 degrees Sagittarius. If you truly cherish your relationship, do not send out ultimatums. It is also not a good time to gamble on a ‘fire-cracker’ chance acquaintance. Your cards will be ‘seen’ and ‘raised’. Invest your passion on a worthy project, cause or your partner. Lucky Jupiter* trines the Full Moon, and sextiles the Sun on the 14th. Positive end results either give closure or recharge stagnating projects/relationships. Have you missed Pluto*? He is still in charge, squaring the Sun at 20 degrees, scratching old forgotten wounds and spraying a mist of obsession. Do not succumb to its whims and keep Jupiter’s* uplifting energy. On the 14th still, a Mercury sextile Saturn, helps stabilize plans/contract agreements. The Mercurial versatility and perception come in very handy on the 16th, when it trines Neptune* and on the 20th, as it sextiles Pluto*. Creativity, exchange of ideas, goal accomplishment and positive financial outcome, are on the table. A Venus sextile Saturn*, also on the 20th, helps, along with a Venus sextile Neptune* on the 22nd. Good news regarding certain health issues as well, as Mercury also relates to this. Good timing, as the Messenger of the Gods stations between October 29 to November 1st, before it begins its retrograde motion. Venus shines her bright light on love and money, on the 25th, as it sextiles Pluto*. Another bumpy ride on October 27, on the eve of the New Moon at 4 degrees Scorpio. It opposes Uranus*, not permitting uneventful new beginnings. Mars squares Saturn* on the 29/30th, delivering aggressiveness via impulse. Meanwhile, the Sun, Mercury and Venus are also in intense and obsessive Scorpio. Not a promising mix. If you handle heavy machinery, take extra care. If possible, keep your cool and make decisions on the 31st, as Venus and Mercury walk hand in hand. Chiron is in retrograde motion at 1-5 degrees Aries, meaning deeply buried wounds surface. Pluto activity fortifies such events and conditions.
