The path from October to November; Despite the end of retrogrades and hard planetary aspects, our mental and emotional compass is still off until November 14 and for many of us, quite possibly until December 17, 2020.

During October Pluto (transformation-power games), Saturn (stability-boundaries) and Jupiter (luck-expansion), all in direct motion, aligned in partnership against Mars’ penetrating and aggressive force. This gave Venus the Goddess of love, beauty, the arts and money, the room she needed to grace us with her gifts, despite the odds. However, did we not feel and see the pressure and experienced the blockage in our endeavors, as everything seemed to go one step forward, two steps back? The retrogrades of Mercury (communication, contracts and health) and Mars (productivity, aggression and drive) added fuel to the fire, a condition that flows into the first days of November. With all the negativity in the media regarding a possible, even in part, lock down yet again, mostly in the Northern hemisphere, we as people, now more than ever, must stay informed, not panic, maintain our integrity and demand the same of our rulers.

The first days of the month are strongly connected to the October 31st Full Moon. Returns from the past knock on our door. Personally and collectively.

Overview for November. In the United States of America, on November 26th, the holiday of Thanksgiving is celebrated. On the day, it is customary for families and friends to have dinner gatherings and express gratitude for life and its blessings. Historically it is based on an effort from both the first settlers in the Americas and the natives, to come together and try to share each others cultures and customs. Most of us are by now aware how this turned out for the native Americans. Despite the people’s best efforts, political interference brought forth the well know horrific results of annihilating almost to extinction, an amazing ancient culture. This November offers us an opportunity to be collectively awakened to the detrimental results of indifference. How terrifyingly easy is it for an invisible ‘entity’ to spread panic, death and financial disaster? How terrifyingly easy has it been for most of us to hand our power over to incompetent, self serving politicians? We are subject to tremendous pressure. Our mental and physical compass is understandably, off. Is our moral one as well?

Aspects and dates.

The full moon of October 31st still echoes the need to replace stagnating, non sustainable systems in order to secure positive long term effects for the planet and the quality of our lives, in consequence. The need to work and live smart, not hard, becomes apparent on November 1st, when limitations in pushing projects or agreements forward cause a great degree of frustration, as Mercury squares Saturn. Our ‘battery’ runs low and unpredictable events enhance this condition, with the life giving Sun opposing eruptive Uranus. Luckily this October 31st Moon trines expansive Jupiter and wound healing Pluto. Practically speaking, if your plans are delayed (with emphasis on marriage and business partnerships), you can be spared from an unforeseen trap. Staying in mental and physical shape, is the secret to successfully navigate through this and the first week of November, as Mercury turns direct in peace seeking Libra on the 4th! Go for a run, walk, even a short one, to clear your head before jumping to conclusions or making a haste decision. You will be happy to have done so when Venus opposes Mars on the 9/10th. Also on the 10th, the Sun trines Neptune. Creativity and a need for spirituality are highlighted. Mercury, now direct, enters intense and penetrating Scorpio on the 11th. Mercury is also connected to health, so take care of your urinary track, liver and the reproductive system, if you are sensitive in those areas. Jupiter conjuncts Pluto on the 8-13th; our minds can acquire breadth of vision and an enhanced ability to penetrate intellectual or philosophical issues. Perhaps it is time for some of you to write that book! Or finally have that much needed heart to heart with your partner. On the 14th the Sun sextiles Pluto and Mars turns direct! Depending on your birth chart, this is a day for a meaningful new life direction or creating a self improvement plan. Research in the medical field is favored.

Jupiter is well aspected with the Sun on the 13-18th and in direct sextile on the 15th, an opportune time for studies and travel and with the New Moon at 23 degrees 18 minutes Scorpio on the 15th. This Moon of new beginnings emphasizes a need to sharpen our intuitive, mental and emotionally penetrating skills. Scorpio energy reminds us that there is life after death and a new life cycle begins. It mostly affects fixed sings (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) or people with points to their charts here. Too much of anything can be too much, so keeping your distance from tension or being the voice of reason, if you feel up for it, is something to remember on the 17/18th, when Mercury opposes Uranus. Preventive software and hardware maintenance can save you from a major headache, like loss of online work or an entire system failure. The Sun is also well aspected with Saturn on 18-20th and forms an exact sextile on the 19th. Combine common sense and practicality to fend off insecurity, the main obstacle for growth in all levels. Mercury, also in Scorpio, finally graces us with its positive aspects, intuitive thinking -trines Neptune on the 24th, depth of perception- sextiles Pluto on the 27th, speedy thinking -sextiles Jupiter on the 29th, and logical thinking -sextiles Saturn on the 30th and December 1st. There is a Full Moon-Lunar Eclipse in 8 degrees Gemini on the 30th. It affects mostly the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) or people with points to your chart here. A need for better communication on both a personal and collective level is emphasized. The higher mind is called forth to pinpoint the areas of our daily existence that need immediate improvement, like old belief systems that no longer serve us or our planet. Transportation and its effects in our lives, is also part of the Gemini zone, so local and global related issues will come to light. Last but not least, Neptune turns direct November 29, creativity will be favored, compassion reclaims its room in our hearts and deception comes to light.

You may notice occasionally, astrological dates can seem to be one (1) day off, (for example a planet enters a sign on the 12/13). This occurs because calculations are based on Tropical Midnight Ephemeris, Time Zone EDT (04 west). Add or subtract hours, based on your Time Zone.

Dear Virgos, some of you have ‘spring cleaned’ your living/working environment and others your mental one. October ended with a Full Moon in your friendly Taurus on October 31st; this Moon trined your Sun giving you financial and business success or overall mobility and mental sharpness. Still, your ruler Mercury, Rx-retrograde brought you face to face with a harsh reality that did not allow you to either fully enjoy the merits of your hard work or exhausted you mentally; Mercury squares Saturn on November 1st, and you need a break. Take it, even if all you have is a few minutes to collect your thoughts. Luckily its retrograde is over November 4th. Use the November 4-14 time frame to collect information that can help you settle property or investment affairs. If you have been dealing with sexual issues, this is a great time to consult a specialist. Within this time frame Venus opposes Mars (still retrograde) on the 9/10th, emphasizing the above mentioned issues. Your marriage/partnership is favored, provided you do not promise more than you can deliver. Perhaps this time around you can make your point with firmness but not crassness.
