Innovative and unpredictable Uranus, squares structure loving and limiting Saturn (direct after the 24th). Will we implode, explode or move on?

It is that time of the year again, for a good old Saturn-Uranus clash (we experienced 3 of their squares in 2021): out with the old, in with the new. The end of one era, pinpoints the beginning of a new one. This time can be marked by explosive situations, for better or worst. It is a time to take your power back and to give back to the collective. For example: want to protect the Amazon rain forest (26% of our planets lungs), in essence the air that you breathe? The intruders are constantly burning villages and killing people in their own homes. However, there is no need for you, to put your armor on and run to the amazon: you can do, what I like to call, “the Couch Revolution”-(check out my February 10, 2021 Blog). Find out why-(for what type of timber, development or products)- it is being destroyed. Stop buying them. This intense square, can also be fertile ground for innovation. Choose assertion, not aggression. Do not follow a mob mentality.

OCTOBER 2022

In October, keep a cool head.

Description, aspects and dates for October 1-12, 2022 (paragraph 2).

October 1-12:

Avoid closing a deal or committing to a person or project, as Venus opposes Jupiter, October 1-2. Intentions are not clear, October 1-3, as Mercury opposes Neptune and October 11-14, as Mars squares Neptune. Deception looms. Work out excess energy, mind your head, respiratory system and stay away from alcohol, before and after the Full Moon on the 9th*. Good news can arrive regarding education, commerce, a legal matter or a fundamental change in your life (a move), on the 7-8th, as Mercury trines Pluto. Transformative Pluto turns direct on the 9th, so it may take a few days or weeks, (depends on your situation), for events to materialize, so be patient. Between October 3-10, digestive track and nervous system ailments are being restored, so is commerce, communication, education, mobility, contracts. Getting back into a good daily routine, is now easier. Overall, October 11 to 22 or 29, is a good time to negotiate but try not to ‘fly off the handle’ 11-12th. Be open to another point of view and either bring closure, in a personal or business partnership, or move to the next level. DO express yourself freely, but don’t push too hard, as Mercury opposes Jupiter, on the 11-12th. Don’t go, just yet, (unless your safety is threatened, seek help).

*There is a Full Moon at 16 degrees 23′ Aries, on the 9th.

You are directly affected by this Full Moon, if your birthday is March 31-April 9, July 1-10, October 3-13 and January 2-12.

In order to harvest the positive influence from such a moon, you need to find and keep the balance, between the raw ego and codependency. This means, you need to take charge, have faith in yourself, be brave and express your point of view. Express these attributes in an assertive and considerate manner,

not aggressive, controlling and reckless. It is vital to adopt a healthy diet and release pent-up energy through sports or a favorite, physical activity, otherwise headaches and migraines are likely. Puzzles or board games are a great brain work out. Stay hydrated. Compromise but don’t sell yourself short. Be giving and generous, without expectations. Hold off on that signature. Not all that shines, is gold. Balance, as always, is key.

There is a Full Moon at 16 degrees 23′ Aries, on the 9th. It affects us all but mostly the cardinal (impulsive) signs, Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn and people with points to your chart here.

Have a productive October! Keep the balance between giving too much or too little.

Description, aspects and dates for October 13-31, 2022 (paragraph 3).

October 13-31:

Should you feel uncertain, even insecure, with love or money matters on the 13th, due to unexpected news or an event, stay cool, as Venus is at an uneasy angle to Uranus, just for the day. On the 14th, her beautiful trine with Saturn, offers a valid, solid solution, with long term rewards. On the 18th, a Sun-Mars trine, charges your battery and on the 19th, Venus does! October 20 to 23, the Sun and Venus conjunct, in loving Libra and financial, love or beauty matters are favored. There is of course that Pluto square, to both the Sun and Venus on the 20th, so look out for the pot hole. Be mindful of a return from the past, an old wound resurfacing or a cyst, that you can’t ignore. Don’t cheat.

It is big news indeed, when the planet of limitations, hard work but also of rewards, taskmaster Saturn, turns direct on October 24th: if you experienced delays or blockage, you now have a chance to get your groove back, after October 25** and by March! This affects us all, but primarily the fixed signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, or if you have key points to your chart here. Time to go? Then go!

On the 24th, Mars prepares for its retrograde phase, starting on the 31st. Also on the 24th, the Sun, Moon and Venus line up in intense Scorpio, the astral detective. The Nodes of fate (Karma) are close by and so is the New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Scorpio! Mercury also enters this sensitive (yes, sensitive) and truth seeking sign, on the 30th. Feathers are ruffled… Another great event follows on the 29th, as Jupiter reenters compassionate and illusive Pisces, a happy place for the Astral Santa Claus! Hopefully compassion will prevail.

**There is a New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse, on October 25th in Scorpio, at 2 degrees 00′.

You are directly affected by this New Moon, if your birthday is April 19-29. July 18-28, October 19-29 and January 17- 27.

Dare to look in the mirror and love who you see. This is a portal, all the way to October 2023, for the new, transformed you, that can reward you for your hard work. On the flip side, if you have fallen prey to power games and obsessions, here is your chance to consult with the right people/groups and ‘clean up’, your physical, mental and emotional body. This Moon occurs under the Saturn-Uranus square, so financial, inheritance, legal or any unexpected events, require a sober approach. Even if you win the lottery, proper management is crucial.

There is a New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse on October 25th in Scorpio, at 2 degrees 00′. (paragraph 4). It affects us all, but mostly the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) and due to proximity, the last degrees of Cardinal (impulsive) signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn).

There is hidden activity. Protect your secrets but avoid sneakiness. Deeds will come to light during November’s Full Moon. I suggest you stay on the side of light.

Astro-highlight for October 2022: Task master, tenacious, hard work rewarding, albeit limiting, Saturn, is retrograde until October 23. Translation? You are required to be patient and keep an open mind. This can be aggravating, especially if you have been tested for the last 2 to 6 years, (depending on your chart). You are doing better, not out of the woods yet, but will be soon. Is 1 more month, that long to wait? Keep plugging along, don’t give up now.

Astro Tip for the Fixed zodiac family (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, or people with points to your charts here); unpredictable Uranus (retrograde at 17-18 degrees) conjuncts the North Node (Karmic evolution) at 13 degrees Taurus and 13 degrees Scorpio, which is at difficult angle, to limiting Saturn (retrograde until October 23) at 18 degrees. The Saturn square and retrograde phases, can be a great opportunity to regroup. Collect good Karma, understand that limits can be a blessing in disguise: remember how you were treated in the past and don’t fall for the same act again (nebulous Neptune is retrograde). Do not be dictatorial, especially if you are a political leader with your Sun/Ascendant or points on Leo/Scorpio primarily.

• Neptune: a striking blue giant, associated with Pisces, the sign of healing and illusion- in ancient Greece representing the fish into which Aphrodite and her son Eros transformed
• Pluto: the yellow dwarf planet or huge asteroid, associated with Scorpio, the intense truth-seeker. He was called on earth by Goddess Artemis to kill Orion, who wanted to destroy all animals.

You may notice occasionally, astrological dates can seem to be one (1) day off, (for example a planet enters a sign on the 12/13). This occurs because calculations are based on Tropical Midnight Ephemeris, Time Zone EDT (04 west). Add or subtract hours, based on your Time Zone.
